Kittie’s Notes

Saturday, March 10   There is much going on these days.  The Garden of Eatin’, the community garden that I am in charge of is beginning to wake up.  I have ordered the compost to top off each bed and this week I will inflate the tires on our wheelbarrow (they go flat every winter) so people can begin planting early crops.  I’m not sure what I will plant this season.

Bert, my grandson is growing and talking more everyday.  We are becoming regulars at the library.  Our yoga class at the library last week was an adventure.  Bert had a great time roaming around the room while I attempted to do the yoga.  He seemed quite taken with a very cute little girl so I had to retrieve from from her yoga mat more than once.  I think that a good time was had by all.

On a more serious note, Saturday, March 24 at 10 AM the “March for Our Lives” will start at Union Station and walk to the arch.  If you would like to see stricter gun laws in this country please attend the march and show your support.

Fanfare has only private events this weekend but you can hear us on Friday, March 16 at the St. Peter’s Rec Plex from 7:00 to 10:00 PM.  On Sunday, March 18 from 12:30 to 3:30 PM we will be at Poor Richards in Eureka.  They are having an anniversary party.  Not only can you hear Fanfare but there will be other things going on.  On Friday, March 23 we are back at the Ritz-Carlton Lobby Lounge from 9:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
